The term Doddabetta means Big Mountain in Badaga language. It is a combination of two words Dodda meaning big and Betta which means mountain. It satiates the desire of an avid trekker yearning for the best place to trek with its awe-inspiring views.
As the river flows down the mountains it forms two majestic waterfalls, the first one fifty five meters in height and the second one even higher at sixty one meters. To bask in the summer sun by the side of the lake or go boating in the lake are the favorite pastimes of people who visit there.
Bandipur is National Reserve in the Karnataka. Wild animals and birds are conserved in this reserve. This reserve is one of the popular tourist places visited as a weekend getaway. The place is surrounded by unruffled atmosphere and is eco-friendly. Surrounded by foliage and lush greenery, you can find elephants grazing, and spot other birds and wild animals.
The host were exceptionally fantastic. Food is the best part of stay. Healthy, tasty and clean homely food. Cleanliness is 10/10. View is also fantastic. If you wanted to have a relaxing homely comfortable stay with tasty food this is the right place. Rooms balcony is yet renovating. But it’s value for money stay. Nishad

Lovely location. We were just 2 girls. Felt very safe.Hosts were absolutely friendly, warm and welcoming. For first time felt what a homestay is. Lovely experience to sit in the huge balcony viewing green mountains, tea estate, trees, birds chirping..quiet all around and nice morning tea added to the wonderful experience. Sherlyn
